Since news of the October 1 overnight attack on Federal Polytechnic, Mubi in Adamawa State, in Northern Nigeria broke out, the same questions ring out: Who are the men who perpetrated the act? For which reason? What will the government do to secure the lives of Nigerians? And, how soon will these victims and thousands of their family members who have been thrown into endless trauma get justice? Many citizens say they get more questions than answers.

This latest killing coincided with the marking of the 52nd year of Nigeria’s Independence.

As at the time of filing in this report, several students are fleeing Mubi while many are stranded. Report say the school has been shut indefinitely as the Adamawa State government has also imposed a 24-hour curfew.

Adamawa State Police Command spokesman, Ibrahim Mohammed, DSP, confirmed that 25 dead bodies have  so far been deposited at the General hospital, Mubi. He also stated that the figure is likely to rise as security agents continue to mop up the incident area.

A lecturer who spoke with News Bytes on the grounds of anonymity confirm that many lecturers plan on resigning immediately to relocate to other parts of the country considered safer to live in, in the hope of getting another job or securing another lecturing appointment.

Pleaassssse Help Nigeria and Nigerians to identify the muslims hiding them. does answering a name or speaking a language like arabic ibru make you a muslim or a christian?. The special man who brought islam said that “you are not a muslim if your far and near neighbours are not safe from your acts” what is your definition of muslim?

        • My definition of Islam: A religion partly copied from Christianity and paganism, founded on deceptive prophesies of a delusional man by which violence against non proselytes is very encouraged to ‘gain paradise’ for sure.

    • Pls stop deceiving yourself by saying that the world is coming to an end. We are the cause of whatever we are passing through in Nigeria today. We the citizens fail to plan for our future, then our future has panned and failed us. Until you and i stand up and say that enough is enough. This nonsense will never stop. This is a country where their leader addressed an empty seat at the UN National Assembly last week, spent billions on Naira on that useless visit. Came to the National television and lied that Nigeria is second to the USA in crime and security fighting. I have read the so many comments all calling on God to come down and fight our security and corruption for us, good calls but from which heart? Good or bad hearts? Heaven help those who help themselves. The criminals in power have succeeded in dividing the country into three lines of people. 1: Ethnic, we are all bigots when it comes to tribal issues: 2: Religion, we are praying for everything even things we can do by ourselves that is why God is tired of Nigeria. 3: Party, we fight against each other when important issues are raised, when you oppose the government, you will be seen as an opposition sponsored, Nigerians have learnt to be contempted with nothing. All in the name of with God all things are possible, making us to be praying for miracle without work. And hoping for God to change the situation and the hearts of the devilish politicians that connive with the men of gods to suck and dry clean the Nigerians. Nigeria was be described by Late Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo, as a mere geographical expression. Things will never change in Nigeria, even if you make Jesus Christ the Nigerian president. Because that seat is for the EVIL MEN. The world is not ending anything, please stop deceiving yourself. Let us rise up and eliminate all these Vampires. Then Nigeria will be better. Nigeria is not one, and will never be.

  23. Nigerians love weeping and lamentation too much, and that is why agony have decided to seek for a permanent resident permit in Nigeria. We are too good in writing a condolence messages and very easy to forget the past. We see everything as a handiwork of God, even when we intentional and deliberately commit a satanic crimes we channel it to God. The other ways we have failed mostly is always praying to God for changes which we can make by ourselves. The evil ones ruling this satanic empire are the ones who give thanks giving at every Sunday services in the churches for power and protection to continue ruling their captives whether they are ruling well or not. The Nigerian rulers are the worst liars on earth yet they are unchallenged because we are waiting for God to come down, and judge them. Probably punish them for us. Forgetting that these same rulers are praying to God also. More deadly attacks are on the way because there is no security in the country. We copy the entire western style of government but we do not copy their progressive policies. National Police, State Police, Local Police, are all functioning well but Nigeria is afraid of it being used by the governors wrongly. What a useless reason? Because our president was a governor who knows that he was bad when he was a governor. If not, why should he be using the governors as an example why the state police should not be created? Only what will affect the politicians is what they care for, and not what will affect the masses, and we claim that we have a government. So many comments here calling on God, which God? The God I know never dwell in the society like Nigeria. On Sunday GEJ, fooled himself by boasting that Nigeria is second to the USA in crimes and corruption fighting, what a bloody lie? From a man who many lives has been lost because of him. He is only cared about his personal welfare and that of his family and his numerous married women minister girlfriends. Spending money lavishly while pleading Nigerians to starve for his wicked economic policies, no wonder many reasonable world leaders boycotted his trash speech he delivered to their empty seats. Until we do something, then something would be done. Tomorrow you will hear a well prepared condolences message to the nation, and the family of the slain sacrificial lambs. SORRY FOR NIGERIANS. For sleeping while others are working.

We recruited the wrong set of people into our security services, we used “Quota System, Federal Character, Catchment zone” and all sorts of mediocrity……and the result is what we are witnessing today.. A security apparatus that is bereft of any ideas at nipping crime in the bud!
The military, the Police, SSS et all are a bunch of clueless people…..and yet we pay them hugely with tax payers money, the same tax-payer children that are murdered wantonly?
Should these “in-security personnels” not resign their job and bury their head in shame? No they wont because that is how mediocres behave, they have no where else they would fit in.

I dare say this because the strategy of these bastards is to create reprisals in the South which could likely lead to a civil war,the rest of the north, for fear of being victimized by the south would have no option but to rally around them (boko haram) and then Nigeria gets divided;we then are left with a fundamentalist Moslem northern Nigeria (because those left in the north would be forced to either recant or review the religious approach) and a core Christian south.
Its a very dicey situation here, countries like Ghana,Cameroon and Benin republic would definitely have their seams bursting with refugees.
    lets pray this gets averted.
