Since news of the October 1 overnight attack on Federal Polytechnic, Mubi in Adamawa State, in Northern Nigeria broke out, the same questions ring out: Who are the men who perpetrated the act? For which reason? What will the government do to secure the lives of Nigerians? And, how soon will these victims and thousands of their family members who have been thrown into endless trauma get justice? Many citizens say they get more questions than answers.
This latest killing coincided with the marking of the 52nd year of Nigeria’s Independence.
As at the time of filing in this report, several students are fleeing Mubi while many are stranded. Report say the school has been shut indefinitely as the Adamawa State government has also imposed a 24-hour curfew.
Adamawa State Police Command spokesman, Ibrahim Mohammed, DSP, confirmed that 25 dead bodies have so far been deposited at the General hospital, Mubi. He also stated that the figure is likely to rise as security agents continue to mop up the incident area.
A lecturer who spoke with News Bytes on the grounds of anonymity confirm that many lecturers plan on resigning immediately to relocate to other parts of the country considered safer to live in, in the hope of getting another job or securing another lecturing appointment.

Nigerians love weeping and lamentation too much, and that is why agony have decided to seek for a permanent resident permit in Nigeria. We are too good in writing a condolence messages and very easy to forget the past. We see everything as a handiwork of God, even when we intentional and deliberately commit a satanic crimes we channel it to God. The other ways we have failed mostly is always praying to God for changes which we can make by ourselves. National Police, State Police, Local Police, are all functioning well but Nigeria is afraid of it being used by the governors wrongly. What a useless reason? Because our president was a governor who knows that he was bad when he was a governor. If not, why should he be using the governors as an example why the state police should not be created? Only what will affect the politicians is what they care for, and not what will affect the masses, and we claim that we have a government. So many comments here calling on God, which God? This is not about Nigeria, its a “failure of our security apparatus”
We recruited the wrong set of people into our security services, we used “Quota System, Federal Character, Catchment zone” and all sorts of mediocrity……and the result is what we are witnessing today.. A security apparatus that is bereft of any ideas at nipping crime in the bud!
The military, the Police, SSS et all are a bunch of clueless people…..and yet we pay them hugely with tax payers money, the same tax-payer children that are murdered wantonly?
Should these “in-security personnels” not resign their job and bury their head in shame? No they wont because that is how mediocres behave, they have no where else they would fit in.

I dare say this because the strategy of these bastards is to create reprisals in the South which could likely lead to a civil war,the rest of the north,for fear of being victimized by the south would have no option but to rally around them (boko haram) and then Nigeria gets divided;we then are left with a fundamentalist Moslem northern Nigeria (because those left in the north would be forced to either recant or review the religious approach) and a core Christian south.
Its a very dicey situation here,countries like Ghana,Cameroon and Benin republic would definitely have their seams bursting with refugees.
