Flash: Jeep Plunge Into Lagoon Lagoon; Lone Occupant, Vehicle Rescued

A jeep plunged into the Lagos lagoon in an accident that occurred on the third mainland bridge Saturday morning.

The driver of the vehicle which skidded off the bridge was however rescued by local divers and immediately taken to the hospital.

Officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency LASTMA acted promptly to also fish out the vehicle from the Lagoon.

Sources say no live was lost.

Officials of LASTMA, LASEMA, FRSC, LASAMBUS and all stakeholders are reportedly on the crash site to ensure normalcy returns to the flow of traffic which had already built up into adjoining roads as a spill-over effect of the accident.
