President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Saturday unveiled a new super modern fighter plane.
The domestically-designed fighter jet, codenamed Qaher-313, was unveiled on the occasion of the Ten-Day Dawn celebrations commemorating the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
The Ten-Day Dawn period starts with the anniversary of the historic return of the late Imam Khomeini from exile on February 1, 1979 and ends with the victory of the Islamic Revolution on February 11.
Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi, Air Force Commander Brigadier General Hassan Shah Safi, Army Commander Major General Ataollah Salehi and a group of senior military officials were present in the ceremony.

The President stressed that Iran will only use its defensive strength as a deterrent power.
“The countryˈs defensive power is not aimed at invading any country”, he reiterated.
He said that manufacturing of the fighter by Iranian experts indicated that no technology has ever been out of the reach of the Iranian scientists.
The President added that production of the Qaher-313 has proved once more that the Iranians enjoy rich civilization and culture that makes them “unbeatable in the world.”
