Five men suspected to be members of the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram were yesterday arrested in Ibadan by policemen from the Oyo State Police Command at around 12.30 am at Jagan Community in Akinyele Local Government Area of the state.
Report say the five men arrived from Jos Friday night.
They are being detained at the Kajorepo Police Station along Ojo-Iwo road.
A man who makes a delapidated building his abode had immediately alerted leaders of the community, who called the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Kajorepo Police Station, Friday at about 11.30pm, when he noticed four hefty sharing his home.
When interrogated, the suspects said they were in Ibadan on the invitation of their kinsman identified as Baba Jennifer, a security personnel at the 2 Division, Nigerian Army, Adekunle Cantonment, Ojo who also corroborated that the men had travelled from Jos in search of farm job.
A police source who pleaded anonymity said that the suspects are being investigated in the hope that useful information will be gathered to assist the police in their investigation and to determine their mission to the state.
He also assured they would be released if nothing incriminating is found on them at the end of the investigation.
