Flash: FG Denies Alamieseiyegha’s Pardon Has Anything To Do With 2015; Campaign Posters Indicate Otherwise (See Image)

The media aide to president Goodluck Jonathan, Dr Reuben Abati has stated that the presidential pardon extended to former Bayelsa governor, Diepreye Alamieseigha has no connection with his ambition to contest in the 2015 elections.

Posters being circulated however reveal that Alamieseigha has plans to contest for the Bayelsa Central Senatorial District slot.

The pardon has been widely condemned by Nigerians both home and abroad with pundits viewing the gesture from President Jonathan as an endorsement of corruption.

Alamieseigha is facing trial for money laundering offences in the UK; but escaped through Dubai in a disguise to avoid prosecution. He was impeached when he was Bayelsa governor also for graft practices.

More to come…

  1. Alams can go to the Senate to join his colleagues in the same trade of looting and stealing!
Do we not have all sorts in that chamber of rogues? Not until Nigerians cast away their fear and nonchalance,we will be ruled by fools and incompetents whose only claim to leadership is stealing! ?

    • Gospel truth! Even in the bible the elders of Israel exclaimed “to your tents oh Israel…” when the son of Solomon choose to scurge them with “snake & scopion” in their commor patrimony. In the Alams. Senate ambition & Presidencial pardon dance… Its “the hand of Esau, the voice of Jacob”. Who is fooling who?
