President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor has finally denied insinuations that his private jet was a gift from President Goodluck Jonathan.
Oritsejafor while receiving a delegation of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Delta State chapter on Sunday 28th April 2013 at the Word of Life Bible Church, Warri, a church he founded and pastors said the President did not contribute a kobo towards the acquisition of the jet but rather was presented to him by church members in commemoration of his 40th year on the pulpit on November 10, 2012.
He further challenged the NLC members who came for a thanksgiving service in preparation for Workers’ Day which held nationwide on Wednesday to investigate and if possibly ask President Jonathan if he contributed to to the purchase of the private jet.
The CAN president had faced immense criticism, particularly from religious leaders shortly after he was presented with the jet at a ceremony attended by President Jonathan.
