SoE Update: Several Boko Haram Camps Bombarded From The Air Friday

The Nigerian soldiers have used jets and attack helicopters to bombard different camps used by the Islamist sect, Boko Haram in Borno State on Friday.

The defence headquarters spokesman confirmed that a number of insurgents were killed.

Brigadier-General Chris Olukolade who spoke to Reuters by telephone confirmed that several camps had been attacked, including the one in the Sambisa game reserve in Borno state.

He however did not have further details but stated that “a number of insurgents have been killed. It is not just Sambisa, every camp is under attack. But we have not done the mopping up operations on the ground to determine the numbers killed.”
