Flash: Lightning Strikes 3 High Tension Cables, Causes Blackout In Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina States

Four states in North West Nigeria have been thrown into total darkness since Thursday last week. This was caused by three high tension power cables struck by lightning at Rafin Guzuma in Maiyama Local Governement area of Kebbi state, leaving the region without light for the fifth day. The blackout has reportedly affected power supply to the Niger Republic.
