The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA has said that an earlier crisis call alerting that two vehicles plunged into the lagoon, near the 3rd Mainland bridge in Lagos was found to be a hoax afterall.
The agency had mobilized its personnel after receiving the call but discovered it was false on getting to the scene of the ‘accident’.
“The police on the 3rd Mainland bridge told us that a yellow commercial bus offloaded its passengers and in its effort of trying to take off hit a private car with dent on th car. The two parties have since left to their respective destinations after (the police) settled the matter for them” Ibrahim Farinloye, NEMA’s South-West Spokesperson clarified.
