Flash: TVC News Crew Arrested In Uyo For UNIUYO Protest Coverage

Report reaching News Bytes confirm that the TV crew of a popular media house, whose headquarters is in Lagos, South-West, Nigeria was arrested today about noon.

They pressmen from TVC News were arrested for covering the ongoing protest by the students of the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.

The crew members reportedly arrested are: Joshua Ajayi, Bunmi Obanawu (Producers) and Franklin Adegbie (Cameraman)

Recall that three members of the executive of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), including its senate president died on Friday in an auto accident while on a mission to seek peace between the protesting students and the authorities of the institution.
