Flash: FIFA Welcome Flying Eagles; Team Accreditation Done!

World football governing body FIFA on Tuesday afternoon formally welcomed Nigeria U20 team to the World Cup in Turkey.

Kayseri Venue general co-ordinator Juan Carlos from Argentina chaired the meeting where players and officials were briefed on what is expected of them both on and off the pitch.

These obligations, which ranged from marketing to media, were stressed out to the Flying Eagles at their Hilton Hotel in Kayseri.

Each player who made the final 21-man squad for the U20 World received a token $100 from FIFA as well as a certificate of participation.

Team accreditation was also completed.

Meanwhile, the Flying Eagles trained twice on Tuesday ahead of their opening Group B match against Portugal on Friday night.

They are expected to train only once on Wednesday evening and on Thursday they will train at the match venue.

Debutants Cuba and South Korea are the other teams in Group B based in Kayseri.
